Donna Kelce is swiftly navigating the art of choosing her words carefully, particularly when it comes to what to say and what not to say.
Appearing on the Today Show in October, Donna Kelce found herself in the spotlight when asked about spending time with Taylor Swift at her son Travis Kelce’s Chiefs games. Trying to maintain a casual and low-key tone, Donna unintentionally conveyed a slightly less-than-impressed sentiment.

Regarding her experience, Donna shared, “It’s fairly new, so I don’t like to talk about it. It’s just one of those things where everyone saw me. I was in the boxes with her. It’s another thing that’s amped up my life.” When asked about hanging out with Taylor, she simply commented, “It was okay.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, Donna still feels remorseful about how she handled the question and berates herself for not expressing more enthusiasm. The profile of Travis in the same outlet noted that she was “trying not to sound too enthusiastic” but inadvertently “came off underwhelmed.”
Travis, however, didn’t want his mom to feel bad and promptly called her to offer reassurance. Donna, speaking with the Wall Street Journal for Travis’ profile, shared, “I can tell you this. He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time…God bless him, he shot for the stars!”
Despite the initial hiccup, it’s evident that Donna Kelce has become a notable figure in her own right, thanks in part to her association with Taylor. Perhaps, in the end, she should be extending her gratitude to Taylor for this newfound celebrity status.
