Rivera, who boasts a storied career with the Yankees, has consistently voiced his backing for Trump, emphasizing their longstanding friendship that predates Trump’s presidency.
“I was friends with him before he assumed office,” Rivera affirmed during an appearance on FOX News a few years ago. “So, just because he’s president, should I turn my back on him? Absolutely not. I hold him in high regard, respect his actions, and believe he’s working diligently for the betterment of the United States of America.”
