Donald Trump is known for his willingness to make critical comments. One of the NFL figures former U.S. President Donald Trump has held in high regard is New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. However, in light of the Patriots’ recent difficulties, even Trump couldn’t resist making a playful jab.
In a recent speech addressing various topics, Trump veered into the realm of the NFL and specifically mentioned the Patriots. While acknowledging Belichick’s coaching prowess, he couldn’t resist posing the question, “What’s happening with the Patriots, huh?”

“He’s a great guy. Great coach. But they’re having a little hard time. What’s going on with the Patriots, huh? But he’s a great coach. He’ll figure it out somehow. He’s gonna figure it out. But that was not a good game last night, was it?” Trump said.
Fans were taken aback, but their disappointment was nowhere to be found as the former President held the Patriots accountable for their recent struggles.
There was a period when Donald Trump held Bill Belichick in such high esteem that he extended an offer to present him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Belichick, however, declined the honor following the events of the January 6 United States Capitol attack.
It’s possible that if Trump were to win the Presidency once more, he might extend the offer to Belichick a second time. However, one can only hope that such a scenario does not materialize.
Many are of the opinion that Trump should consider retirement already.
