Antonio Brown has publicly supported Donald Trump in the upcoming Presidential election, even offering to organize the inauguration ceremony should Trump win.
Brown has called on Trump to assist in freeing rapper Young Thug, who is currently facing racketeering charges along with other members of his music group, YSL.
This November, America faces a choice between incumbent Joe Biden and Trump in what is expected to be a highly charged and divisive election.
Brown, a former NFL wide receiver who contributed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl victory in 2021 and earned Pro Bowl honors seven times, remains a controversial figure. Known for his provocative social media presence, Brown has recently made headlines for his public disputes with figures like Caitlin Clark and Tom Brady.

In endorsing Trump, Brown expressed his admiration for Trump’s business acumen and his family background. “I’ll endorse Trump,” Brown stated in an interview with Outkick. “I never met him. I have admiration for his business moves and I study his dad, Fred Trump. But I think Donald Trump is a good businessman, he comes from a good family and he’s been a good president.”
He also noted Trump’s history of involving prominent African American sports figures in his campaigns, adding humorously, “So Donald Trump, you heard it right here from the mouth of AB man: inauguration, send me my bag or whatever…”
Additionally, Brown commended Trump for his actions benefiting figures in the music industry, referencing the pardons and sentence commutations granted to rappers like Lil Wayne and Kodak Black during Trump’s last full day in office in 2021.
Brown hopes Trump can intervene similarly for Young Thug, urging, “So Trump, man, if you’re watching this, we need to free Young Thug. If you could help out.”
