Fans were skeptical of Braxton Berrios’ recent comments regarding NFL players’ activities on the road.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver found himself in a tight spot during an appearance on his girlfriend Alix Earle’s podcast. Earle posed an awkward question about whether NFL players have women in different cities. Berrios, perhaps wisely, gave a terse “no” in response. Given that he was dating the woman asking the question, it was in his best interest to deny such behavior. He added, “Not in season.”
However, fans were quick to voice their disbelief. Social media was abuzz with skepticism and humorous takes on Berrios’ answer.
“Braxton is being loyal to the homies, but that is the most false statement,” one fan noted.
Another commented, “Braxton covering for the homies,” echoing the sentiment that Berrios was protecting his fellow players.
“You could see him make the decision to protect his boys,” a third observer remarked.
“Braxton loyal to the boys,” a fourth fan claimed, suggesting a sense of camaraderie among the players.
Some comments were more pointed, with one user saying, “Sounds like someone who definitely got hos in every area code,” while another joked, “What else is he gonna say? ?”
Another comment brought up past allegations, “ironic from him didn’t he cheat on Christian McCaffrey’s wife’s sister to be with Alix Earle?”
Before dating Alix Earle, Berrios was in a relationship with Olivia Culpo’s sister, Sophia. He has been accused of cheating on Sophia with Alix, though both Berrios and Alix have denied these allegations.
“Had been posting on her story saying that she was cheated on by NFL man with me … basically accusing me of being the homewrecker,” Earle said late last year. “Unless you were dating in March, I did not home wreck your relationship.”
As Berrios heads into his sixth season with the Miami Dolphins, he’s looking to build on last year’s performance, where he recorded 27 receptions for 238 yards and a touchdown, while also serving as the team’s primary returner. Despite the off-field drama, his focus remains on contributing to his team’s success on the field.
