There’s no “get out of jail free” card for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice.
The dollar amount Rice had to pay to be released from jail in Texas has now been revealed after he turned himself in to Glenn Heights police.
Rice reportedly had to pay $40,000 bond to be released from jail.
The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver is potentially facing serious legal consequences following the multi-vehicle accident he was involved in on March 30 in Dallas, Texas.

He has been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.
These charges stem from his alleged involvement in the car crash and subsequent attempt to flee the scene.
In Texas, an aggravated assault conviction could result in a sentence ranging from two to 20 years in prison. Considering the multiple charges, he could potentially face up to 35 years behind bars.
“I want to re-emphasize Mr. Rice’s continued cooperation with law enforcement,” attorney Royce West said in a statement. “Mr. Rice acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident. Our legal team is now tasked with reviewing all legal documents.”
Rice was a rookie out of SMU for the Kansas City Chiefs last season as he helped them to a second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
For the 2023 regular season, Rice had 938 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns on 79 catches over 16 games.
