D.K. Metcalf wasted no time in making an impact when he joined the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. Despite his dynamic performances, it was surprising to see him excluded from the NFL Top 100 list last season, coming in at number 101.
In response to the snub, Metcalf expressed his indifference to others’ opinions, stating that he values the opinions of his teammates and peers within the organization.
“It’s none of my business what other people think of me. I think very highly of myself and the type of player I am. The only thing I care about is how Geno, my O-line, other WR’s, and peers in this building think of me.”

Metcalf’s journey to stardom began before he was even drafted, impressing at the NFL Scouting Combine.
As a rookie, he quickly established himself as an impactful player, recording 900 yards and seven touchdowns. Metcalf has continued to build on his strong start, solidifying himself as one of the league’s top receivers.
Following the trade of Russell Wilson, Geno Smith took over as the starting quarterback, and he and Metcalf formed a strong connection.
The receiver had a career-best season in 2020, with 94 receptions, 1,048 yards, and six touchdowns.
Despite his impressive performances, Metcalf has only been recognized as a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro in his first four seasons.
Perhaps in 2023, Metcalf will receive the individual accolades he deserves.
