Rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged “drug mule” is reportedly a former Syracuse University basketball player, according to TMZ.
Brendan Paul was arrested on Monday when Diddy and his crew were stopped by federal law enforcement agents.
Paul previously played basketball for Syracuse University from 2018 to 2020 as a walk-on before transferring to Division II Fairmont State in 2020.
He appeared in 16 total games for Syracuse in the two seasons and in 17 total minutes, recorded three points and one rebound.

Paul, aged 25, was apprehended by federal agents at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on Monday while attempting to board a private jet accompanied by the rapper.
According to reports, federal authorities collaborated with Homeland Security and Border Patrol during the operation. Allegedly, drugs believed to be cocaine and marijuana edibles were discovered in Paul’s possession during a search conducted by the authorities.
In Rodney Jones’ lawsuit against Combs, it was alleged that Paul was Combs’ “drug mule.”
The lawsuit alleged that Paul was involved in the procurement and distribution of firearms and drugs on behalf of Mr. Combs.
However, it’s important to note that the drugs Paul was arrested with this week have not been linked to Diddy.
Following his arrest, Paul was released on a $2,500 bond.
In a separate development, homes belonging to Combs in Miami and Los Angeles were reportedly raided this week by the Homeland Security Investigations Human Trafficking Task Force.
