Taylor Swift’s recent stop at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans wasn’t just about the music—it seemed to come with a touch of good luck for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his Kansas City Chiefs. The 34-year-old pop icon, who is wrapping up her massively successful, multi-year Eras Tour, played three consecutive, sold-out shows in The Big Easy on Oct. 25, 26, and 27.
While she enchanted fans with her usual high-energy performances, Swift also appeared to leave behind some positive vibes for Kelce and the Chiefs, who could be vying for a third straight Super Bowl victory at that very venue in 2025.
During her shows, fans on X (formerly Twitter) spotted Swift dropping some football-themed gestures, which they believe were subtle signs of support for Kelce’s championship aspirations. User @moonlithoax shared a series of clips showing Swift in various football-inspired moves.
In one clip, Swift points to the right, blows a kiss, and spins around—a gesture that fans interpreted as a nod to Kelce’s iconic post-touchdown celebration. In another, she throws her arms up in the shape of a goalpost while mouthing “touchdown.” And, to top it off, Swift pretends to throw an imaginary football into the crowd, further fueling fan theories that she was “blessing” the Superdome for a potential Chiefs victory.
“Sorry but Taylor blessing the stadium hosting next year’s Super Bowl 3 nights in a row is sending me! She wants that Chiefs three-peat so bad. I support you, Tay,” wrote @moonlithoax on X, alongside the video of Swift’s symbolic gestures.
Swift’s timing was impeccable. Her final performance on Oct. 27 coincided with Kelce’s first touchdown of the season during the Chiefs’ game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where Kansas City clinched a 27-20 victory.
Kelce’s season had started slowly, but the Chiefs are now on a seven-game winning streak, raising fans’ hopes for another Super Bowl run.
The Chiefs are no strangers to Super Bowl success, having bested the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in the 2024 championship and narrowly defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in 2023.
Swift’s gestures, though playful, add an extra layer of excitement for fans anticipating a potential Chiefs return to the Superdome next year.
With her Eras Tour winding down, Swift’s next stops include Indianapolis before she wraps up with performances in Toronto and Vancouver, leaving fans and perhaps the Chiefs faithful hoping her good vibes carry through to next year’s Super Bowl season.
