It’s been a tough season for Monty Williams and the Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons already lost 27 straight games earlier this season which is an NBA record and of course have no chance to play in the postseason this year.
However, that’s not going to stop head coach Monty Williams from destroying the officiating crew after a tough loss to the New York Knicks on Monday.
Williams went on an epic rant during the post-game presser which he starts off by saying that a no-call in the final seconds of the game is the ” absolute worst call of the season.”
Williams will certainly be hearing from the league office after this one.
Here’s the play that had Williams so fired up:
It’s fair to say that Williams has a point here as it’s hard to understand how Knicks guard Donte Divincenzo wasn’t called for a foul especially when it happened right in front of the referee.
With the loss, the Pistons are now 8-49 which is good for the worst record in the NBA.
