When Travis Kelce traveled to Paris to see Taylor Swift perform on her Eras Tour, he brought along a unique gift.
During his recent visit to the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end acquired a special piece of jewelry for Swift: a Derby Gold and Diamond Horseshoe Necklace priced at $1,495 from S. R. Blackinton, a family-owned business responsible for crafting the Derby trophy for many years.
Susanne Blackinton-Juaire and her daughter, Skyla Blackinton, co-owners of the company, shared with Page Six Style that they presented Kelce with the limited-edition necklace, which was crafted from reclaimed 14-karat gold used in this year’s Kentucky Derby trophy. They decided to gift this piece knowing that it was a significant year for both him and Swift, who had to miss the Derby to prepare for her tour.

The Blackintons noted, “He was super kind and appreciative!” The necklace, featuring six round brilliant-cut diamonds, is part of the brand’s 2024 Derby Gold Jewelry Collection. This collection also includes a matching lapel pin and various horseshoe-wishbone designs, echoing the traditional good luck charms given to jockeys in early 20th-century Europe.

Swift, known for her love of meaningful gestures, would likely cherish the necklace’s engraved message on the underside of the horseshoe: “Wishing you good luck.”
Skyla expressed that creating this collection was a long-held dream for her and her mother, made all the more special as it utilizes the same gold as the Derby trophy.
In addition to the necklace, Kelce also picked up a pair of sterling silver sippers adorned with the horseshoe-wishbone motif, perfect for enjoying some mint juleps together during Swift’s tour breaks.
