Kelly Oubre Jr. faced a double blow on Monday night, as not only did his team, the Philadelphia 76ers, lose a playoff game to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of their postseason series, but he also suffered a personal setback.
Just hours after the game concluded with a disappointing defeat, Oubre was involved in a car crash that wrecked his Lamborghini.

According to TMZ Sports, the incident occurred around 1:45 AM on Tuesday, shortly after the conclusion of the game at Madison Square Garden, where the Sixers lost 104-101 to the Knicks.
“Kelly Oubre Jr. crashed his Lamborghini in Philadelphia after the game 2 heartbreaker vs. #Knicks. Cops say KO “disregarded a red traffic signal” & hit a ’23 Hyundai Elantra around 1:45 AM. No one was hurt. Cars towed. #76ers tell us they were aware of crash. KO will play gm3.”
According to police reports, Oubre’s 2021 matte purple Lamborghini allegedly ran through a red traffic signal, resulting in a collision with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported by any parties involved.
However, both vehicles sustained damage significant enough to require towing from the scene.
The Philadelphia 76ers confirmed to TMZ Sports that they were informed about the accident.
Oubre is expected to play in Game 3 on Thursday as the 76ers will be in jeopardy of going down 3-0 in the series if they can’t pull out a win at home.
Oubre will be looking for a much better performance in Game 3 as he only shot 2-for-7 from the field scoring four points over 27 minutes on Monday night.
