Deshaun Watson is expressing his readiness to start fresh.
The troubled quarterback, who faced suspension and a hefty fine due to allegations of sexual misconduct from numerous massage therapists, acknowledges that his time away from the league has had a profound effect on him.
Watson stated that this experience forced him to focus on himself, evaluate his circle of support, and showcase his true character and personality.
“The whole situation changed me,” he told reporters Sunday. “In a situation where I just had to lock in on myself, channel and really know who I’m surrounding myself with and just really who’s going to be there and support me even when I’m at my lowest point and the last few years were definitely my lowest point in my life.
“But that’s part of life. I just grow from it, I learn from it. I continue to move forward and push forward and continue to show my real character, my real personality and who I am.”

He recently shared his side of the suspension story with his new team.
Watson is now with the Cleveland Browns, where he feels more comfortable and signed a record-breaking five-year, $230 million deal.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, he is excited about the opportunity to start with a full offseason and is determined to channel the positive energy within the organization.
Previously a three-time Pro Bowler with the Houston Texans, Watson made his debut with the Browns last December, contributing 1,102 yards and seven touchdowns in six games.
