Denver police are seeking information from the public following the release of a video depicting an altercation at Monday’s playoff game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the footage, it appears that one of Nikola Jokic’s brothers is seen punching a fan in the stands.
The NBA has also launched an investigation into the incident.
The video, circulating on social media, shows two men involved in a confrontation while Jokic’s wife, Nataljia, stands nearby holding their young daughter.

Identified as Strahinja Jokic, Nikola’s older brother, he was previously arrested in 2019 on suspicion of assault.
In the video, he can be seen wearing a ‘Jokic 15’ jersey and engaging in the altercation by striking the other individual in the face.
Another brother, Nemanja, is observed behind him during the incident.
Denver police have now issued the following statement:
“The Denver Police Department is aware of the video circulating on social media that appears to have happened Monday night at the Denver Nuggets game. The incident was not reported to Denver Police at the arena or after the game was over, and at this time, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident. The Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department”
It’s very possible that we won’t see Strahinja at anymore games going forward, especially if the fan who was punched decides to press charges.
Nikola’s wife is visibly frustrated after realizing that Strahinja struck the fan and you can probably bet that Nikola is going to tell his brother that he needs to chill out.
The Nuggets did win this game thanks to Jamal Murray’s dramatic buzzer-beater and now head to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 with a 2-0 lead.
