Deion Sanders certainly knows how to respond effectively.
When Colorado State’s head coach, Jay Norvell, criticized Colorado’s head coach, Deion Sanders, it inadvertently sparked a chain of events that led to an unexpected gift for the Buffaloes’ players – sunglasses.
Norvell had taken a swipe at Sanders in the lead-up to Saturday’s game, stating that he removes his hat and glasses when conversing with adults.
In response, Colorado’s head coach made it personal and decided to present members of his team with sunglasses from his own line, humorously noting that “they don’t realize they just helped me with business.”
For Colorado State, providing bulletin board material was the last thing they needed for this game. They were already facing a challenging matchup against a Pac-12 team fresh off impressive wins over TCU and Nebraska. In contrast, Colorado State had a tough start to the season with a 0-1 record following a 50-24 loss to Washington State.
Although Colorado has more significant aspirations, including upcoming conference matchups against Oregon and USC, it appears their full focus is currently directed at their clash with the Rams, which could pose a formidable challenge for Norvell and his team on Saturday.
