Deion Sanders appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, where he imparted some advice to newly retired football star Jason Kelce, urging him to embrace controversy on his ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother, NFL star Travis Kelce.
Sanders, who is currently Colorado’s head football coach, delivered the advice while promoting his new book: ‘Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field’.
During his appearance, Sanders showcased his renowned pump-up speech skills, offering advice to several figures in the sports world. Starting with Kelce, Sanders encouraged him to let loose now that his playing days are over and to bring his true, controversial self to his podcast.
“Jason, you’ve come to the end of the road baby,” Sanders exclaimed. “But guess what? You don’t have to train no more. You don’t have to eat right anymore. You can just let all that go… And I want you to be as controversial as you ever wanted to be on your podcast. I love you, I appreciate you. But baby, it’s time to really be you.”

The cardboard cutout of Kelce used during Sanders’ advice session was from a memorable moment at the Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills AFC Divisional round playoff game, where Kelce was seen in a luxury box with Taylor Swift and others.
Sanders also offered advice to Caitlin Clark, emphasizing the importance of finishing her college career strong, and to The Rock, urging him to consider running for the presidency.
Sanders, in his first season as Colorado’s head coach, led the team to a 4-8 record. As Colorado transitions back to the Big 12, Sanders aims to guide the Buffaloes to bowl eligibility for the first time since 2016.
