Amid speculation about the Dallas Cowboys’ coaching situation following their playoff exit, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has suggested that the team should consider hiring Deion Sanders as their head coach.
After the Cowboys’ disappointing loss to the Green Bay Packers, there’s a possibility of a coaching change, with names like Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh in the mix. However, Griffin advocates for Sanders, also known as “Coach Prime,” citing his championship mindset, ability to hold players accountable, and his transformative impact on team culture.
Sanders, who won a Super Bowl as a player with Dallas in 1996, has successfully coached at the college level, notably turning around programs at Jackson State and Colorado. Griffin highlights Sanders’ achievements, including a 27-6 record at Jackson State, and believes he can bring a winning mentality to the Cowboys.

Griffin also suggests that Sanders could bring his son, Shedeur Sanders, as the Cowboys’ quarterback of the future. Despite Sanders expressing a reluctance to coach in the NFL, Griffin emphasizes the potential financial impact and success Sanders could bring to the Cowboys.
While Sanders’ stance on coaching in the NFL may present a challenge, Griffin sees him as a transformative figure who could lead the Cowboys to success.
