Deebo Samuel doesn’t want to talk about the NFC Championship game.
The Niners star receiver is done talking about the Philadelphia Eagles too. The wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers was recently asked about his previous statements regarding the Eagles.
Samuel had previously said that the 49ers would have defeated the Eagles in the NFC Championship game if quarterback Brock Purdy had not been injured.
During an interview on CBS Sports Radio’s “The Zach Gelb Show,” Gelb tried to bring up the topic again.
However, Samuel responded by saying, “I’m not sure about that anymore.”
When asked if he still believed in his previous statement, Samuel replied, “I do, but I don’t want to keep discussing it. I’ve already said what I needed to say.”
During a radio interview, the host persistently questioned Samuel about the upcoming rematch between the 49ers and Eagles in December, causing the pro bowler to abruptly end the conversation.
Samuel responded by saying, “I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” before handing the phone to a public relations specialist.
“I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” Samuel said before he seemingly handed the phone to a public relations specialist.
“Alright, we’re good to go,” the individual said.
The host was frustrated by the sudden hang up, referring to it as a joke and absurd.
“Deebo Samuel right there doesn’t want to answer a few questions,” Gelb said after the wide receiver’s abrupt exit. “Are you serious? We got hung up on because all we did was ask him about the quarterback situation, and then Philadelphia, and we got hung up on by Deebo Samuel? That’s a joke, an absolute joke. That’s absurd.”

Samuel is clearly focused on the future and is looking forward to the 2023-24 season.
The highly anticipated matchup between the 49ers and Eagles is scheduled for December 3rd in Philadelphia during Week 13. However, Samuel’s performance last season was impacted by injuries, resulting in reduced production compared to the previous year where he achieved All-Pro honors.
Despite this, Samuel received a lucrative contract extension before last season.
