Green Bay Packers offensive lineman David Bakhtiari stepped up to defend his teammate Aaron Rodgers last year after the quarterback was targeted in Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue.
Kimmel took a jab at Rodgers for his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” where he discussed UFO theories amidst the Chinese spy balloon controversy. Kimmel sarcastically referred to Rodgers as the “Green Bay whack Packer” and played a clip where Rodgers mentioned potential names from Jeffrey Epstein’s client list.

“Maybe it’s time to revisit that concussion protocol,” Kimmel quipped.
In response to the clip, Bakhtiari commented, “Tell me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list, without telling me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list….”
Months later, it seems Bakhtiari still harbors some resentment towards Kimmel. He posted a log purportedly showing that the late-night host visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island, though the post has since been deleted.
Aaron Rodgers has gained a reputation for expressing unconventional views, particularly in the last two years. In 2021, he faced controversy for his adamant stance against taking the coronavirus vaccine. Rodgers even underwent a four-day darkness retreat, discussing his NFL future upon emerging from it on “The Aubrey Marcus Podcast.”
Despite the controversies, Rodgers and Bakhtiari maintain a close friendship.
