ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky has made a bold prediction regarding Davante Adams and the New York Jets. Orlovsky believes that Adams will don the Jets uniform this season and that a trade between the Jets and the Raiders is imminent.
“I think Davante Adams plays for the Jets this season,” Orlovsky declared. “The reason why I say that is this: Have you watched Netflix, the receiver show? Have you seen the frustration with Davante Adams? It’s not that much better of a situation.”
If this trade materializes, Adams would reunite with his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, with whom he spent eight successful seasons in Green Bay. During their time together, Adams recorded three 1,000-yard seasons, peaking in 2021 with 123 receptions for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns.
After the 2021 season, Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, where he has continued to excel despite the team’s struggles. Over the past two seasons with the Raiders, Adams has amassed over 1,100 receiving yards each year, maintaining his status as a top-five receiver in the NFL.

The prospect of Adams joining the Jets is exciting for several reasons. Firstly, it would reunite him with Rodgers, potentially reigniting the chemistry that made them one of the most formidable quarterback-receiver duos in the league.
Secondly, Adams’ presence would significantly bolster the Jets’ offense, providing them with a proven playmaker who can elevate their passing game.
Adams’ addition to the Jets would not only enhance their receiving corps but also improve their overall team performance.
His ability to consistently make big plays and draw defensive attention would open up opportunities for other offensive players. Moreover, the move could reinvigorate Adams, who has shown signs of frustration with the Raiders, as highlighted in the Netflix series.
The potential trade is more than just a strategic move for the Jets; it represents a chance for Adams to find renewed success and for Rodgers to have a familiar and trusted target. While the logistics of the trade are yet to be finalized, Orlovsky’s prediction has certainly stirred excitement among Jets fans and NFL enthusiasts alike.
If Adams does end up in New York, the Jets could become serious contenders, making this one of the most talked-about trades of the season.
