Love and basketball are on full display.
Long-distance has posed challenges for Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum and her husband, Darren Waller, ever since he was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Giants in March. However, things aligned perfectly on Wednesday night as he had the opportunity to witness Plum secure her second WNBA championship in New York City.
The Aces triumphed over the New York Liberty with a score of 70-69 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, clinching back-to-back championships. This allowed Waller, aged 31, to support his wife’s team without missing any of his NFL commitments.

In the Aces’ victory, Plum, aged 29, contributed seven points, five assists, and eight rebounds while Waller watched from the courtside.
After the final buzzer, Plum rushed over to Waller to celebrate, and the couple shared a kiss in a heartwarming moment captured by the cameras.
The Giants’ tight end and WNBA champion exchanged vows on March 4 after reportedly being in a relationship since 2022. Plum’s Aces teammate, Candace Parker, and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. were present at the private ceremony.
Maintaining a long-distance relationship can be quite challenging, but these two prolific athletes appear to make it work.
