White is known for his support of free speech among UFC’s fighters as he displayed once again when Strickland directed some anti-LBTQ comments towards a reporter in Toronto before his UFC 297 match against Dricus du Plessis.

White made an appearance on The Truth. Podcast with Vivek Ramaswamy and has a message for those who don’t really agree with what Sean Strickland has to say most of the time.
White admits that he disagrees with “95 percent” of what the fighter says. However, he stood by Strickland’s right to say what he wants. White’ also had this to say to his critics:
“If you don’t like it, tune in on Saturday night; he’s gonna get punched in the face. If you don’t like him, you get to see him get punched in the face, so there you go. Don’t get too upset and don’t take it too seriously.”
Fans did just that during Strickland’s UCF 297 match against du Plessis as he was bloodied in the tightly contested and controversial loss dropping his UFC record to 28-5.
