It’s been a week since the Green Bay Packers eliminated the Dallas Cowboys from the NFC playoffs, leading to some humor at the Cowboys’ expense.
Despite the premature postseason exit and the decision to retain coach Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys became a target for jokes, particularly from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.
On Monday’s First Take, Dan Orlovsky joined in on the banter, using the Detroit Lions’ win on Sunday to take a shot at the Cowboys. Orlovsky humorously stated, “The Detroit Lions went 0–16, and they’ve got more NFC championship game appearances this century than the Cowboys.”

It’s worth noting that Orlovsky’s comment seems to be inspired by a viral tweet from user @ChefDon, which humorously points out, “The Lions went 0-16 this century and still made it to the Conference Championship before Dallas.”
Orlovsky, having played for the Detroit Lions during their infamous 0–16 season in 2008, adds a personal touch to the humor. For whatever reason everyone seems much happier when the Cowboys lose in epic fashion.
