Despite Tom Brady hinting at the possibility of a return to the NFL, Dan Orlovsky remains skeptical.
A year after retiring and with a future broadcasting role at Fox, Orlovsky is not putting much stock in Brady suiting up again, even as Brady entertains the thought. Recently, Brady expressed openness to a comeback, adding intrigue while he also explores becoming a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and prepares for his broadcasting partnership with Kevin Burkhardt. During an ESPN’s “Get Up” segment on the Raiders’ quarterback situation post-draft, Brady’s potential return became a talking point.
Orlovsky humorously stated, “I don’t know if they grow back, but if Brady plays for the Raiders this year, I’ll shave my eyebrows,” adding, “As long as they grow back.”

In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders made significant picks including Brock Bowers and focused on enhancing their offensive and defensive lines as well as their secondary. By the time they chose with the No. 13 pick, six quarterbacks had already been selected, diminishing the value of picking another so early. Instead of drafting another QB, the Raiders are looking to evaluate Aidan O’Connell, the second-year player from Purdue, and Gardner Minshew, who recently signed a two-year, $25 million deal. Their quarterback room also includes Anthony Brown Jr. and Carter Bradley, an undrafted free agent.
While the Raiders might welcome Brady’s leadership, the likelihood of his return seems slim with Orlovsky’s eyebrows humorously at stake. Nonetheless, ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum jokingly suggested that maybe everyone should hope for Brady’s comeback, if only to see Orlovsky’s wager play out.
