The Heat is on for Damian Lillard?
Although Damian Lillard is committed to ending his career in Portland, he has considered leaving in the past. During an appearance on Showtime’s The Last Stand, Lillard made a revelation. After losing to Denver in the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs, Lillard was frustrated and thought “something’s gotta happen.” Lillard felt that the Blazers had missed a chance to compete for the championship that year.
Despite his disappointment, Lillard has continued to play at an exceptional level. However, Portland has failed to make the playoffs in the last two seasons, due to Lillard’s injuries and a roster overhaul.
Now, the Blazers have the third pick in the upcoming NBA draft. However, Damian Lillard has made it clear he does not want to be part of a rebuild with young talent. As the team decides whether to honor his loyalty or pursue future stars, it is worth considering whether Lillard and the Blazers would be better off apart if their championship dreams are not realistic.
In a hypothetical trade Lillard would prefer playing in Miami first and foremost.

Lillard definitely needs a change of scenery, clearly his time in Portland has worn out its welcome.
Dame Dollar would look pretty darn good in a Heat Jersey is you ask me.
