Damian Lillard is keeping the Miami Heat trade rumors fire lit.
On Friday night, Damian Lillard stirred up trade rumors after sharing an Instagram live video while listening to Will Smith’s “Miami.”
Within seconds, the NBA community exploded with speculations about Lillard pushing for a trade to the Miami Heat.

While Portland Trail Blazers recently drafted Scoot Henderson, a long-term prospect, Lillard reportedly expressed interest in bringing aboard a “win-now” veteran player.
However, his agent, Aaron Goodwin, denied that the viral video had anything to do with Lillard’s future in the NBA. Goodwin insisted that Lillard is not an instigator and would not do anything out of character.
“The music was just a coincidence,” Goodwin told The Athletic. “Damian’s not disrespectful. He’s not an instigator, so he’s not going to do anything out of character. There would be no reason for him to do that. That’s why he laughed (in the video). It’s a funny coincidence that a DJ would put that on.”
He also noted that the song was a coincidence, and there was no reason for Lillard to push for a trade.
Although Lillard shared that he would be interested in joining the Heat in a hypothetical scenario earlier this year, news on his Portland situation remains unclear.
