The 18-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest, drawing comparisons to Damar Hamlin’s collapse during a game earlier this year. Hamlin, who has since miraculously recovered, expressed his support for Bronny and the James family on Twitter.
“Prayers to Bronny & The James family as well. Here for you guys just like you have been for me my entire process,” he tweeted.

Fortunately, as reported by The Athletic on Tuesday, James is now out of the ICU and in stable condition. Bronny, who committed to USC in May over Ohio State and Oregon, is set to begin his college basketball journey later this year.
During his tenure as a McDonald’s All-American at Sierra Canyon High School in California, he showcased impressive stats, averaging 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in his senior season.
With eligibility for the 2024 NBA Draft, Bronny’s basketball future holds promise. LeBron James has previously stated that he intends to retire after playing alongside his son on the same team, suggesting that he may not end his career with the Lakers.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the James family, and we hope for a swift recovery for Bronny, enabling him to return to the court soon.
