Dalvin Cook wants on the Gang Green?
Is there a chance that the New York Jets may be interested in acquiring four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook as a free agent?
Since his release from the Minnesota Vikings, Cook’s name has been brought up in discussions as a potential addition to the Jets’ roster.
With aspirations of contending for the Super Bowl in 2023, the Jets are eager to improve in every aspect possible. While Breece Hall emerged as a top-10 running back in 2022, it remains unclear whether he will make a full recovery from his ACL injury in time for the upcoming season.
Although Hall’s rehabilitation is progressing well, he most likely won’t be in top form for Week 1. In keeping with their all-in attitude, do the Jets have the confidence necessary in their other running backs to carry a significant workload?
This is where Dalvin Cook could be a viable option. Although there have been no solid reports of the Jets’ interest in Cook, it seems as though Cook has his eye fixed on the Jets.
Since his release, Cook has liked several tweets relating to him and the Jets.
Moreover, on Wednesday, he specifically tweeted about joining the Jets. While speaking on ESPN, Mike Greenberg advocated for the Jets to sign both Dalvin Cook and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Cook quote-tweeted the video and praised Greenberg.

Over the last four seasons, Cook’s statistics indicate that he has averaged just under 1,606 total yards and 12 touchdowns per season.
Pairing him with Hall would provide the Jets with one of the finest running back tandems in the league.
During a press conference held on June 9, head coach Robert Saleh stated that the Jets would “turn the stones over” concerning Cook.
As Saleh mentioned, the primary concern would be money, as the team still needs to extend Quinnen Williams and restructure Aaron Rodgers. Nonetheless, as the Jets dream of winning their first Super Bowl in more than 50 years, they will pursue every feasible option.
