Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is savoring some much-needed downtime as he gears up for another NFL season.
Prescott was recently spotted at a private airport in Mexico with his family, enjoying a vacation in Cabo. Notably, he was seen without a walking boot, despite reports of a recent ankle injury.
Just days prior, Prescott had been photographed wearing protective footwear, but the latest images suggest he no longer needs it.
This offseason has been particularly eventful for Prescott. In addition to his recovery from injury, he recently had a sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed.
According to online court records, Judge Angela Tucker in Collin County, Texas, dismissed the suit at the end of last month. The judge has also scheduled a hearing for September 13 to decide if further sanctions should be imposed on Prescott’s accuser, Victoria Shores, and her legal team.
Levi McCathern, Prescott’s attorney, issued a statement following the dismissal of the lawsuit. “Despite Ms. Shores and her legal team’s relentless efforts to extort money and damage Dak’s reputation,” McCathern said, “justice has consistently prevailed and will continue to do so. The original lies by Ms. Shores, her team, and their recent failed attempt to sue him civilly are all just a continuation of their extortion plot against Dak. These ploys distract from the trauma of legitimate sexual assault survivors and undermine the progress that our society has made in supporting them. We are proud that Dak stands up against this injustice and thankful Judge Tucker agrees.”

As he prepares for the upcoming season, Prescott’s recovery and off-field vindication offer a sense of closure and a fresh start. His presence will be crucial for the Cowboys, who are looking to build on their previous season’s performance.
With training camp on the horizon, Prescott’s health and state of mind will be pivotal for the Cowboys’ success. Fans and teammates alike are hopeful that this period of rest and the positive legal outcome will enable Prescott to lead the team with renewed vigor and determination.
The anticipation for the new season is building, and Prescott’s readiness will be a key factor in the Cowboys’ quest for a championship.
