According to the lawyer representing Dak Prescott’s accuser, the Dallas police have decided not to pursue sexual assault charges against the Cowboys quarterback.
The accuser, Victoria Baleigh Shores, had accused Prescott of sexually assaulting her in the back of an SUV in 2017, shortly after his rookie season in the NFL.
The incident purportedly took place in the parking lot of the XTC Cabaret strip club in Dallas.
Prescott, along with his legal team, countered by filing a lawsuit against Shores, alleging her involvement in a $100 million extortion scheme.

They vehemently denied the accusations made against Prescott.
“We thank DPD for their efforts and this is in no way an exoneration of Mr. Prescott,” said Shores’ lawyer, Yoel Zehaie in a statement to FOX 4.
WFAA reported that the Dallas Police Department discovered no evidence to substantiate Shores’ allegations, and the District Attorney’s Office stated that they do not have a case.
Zehaie informed WFAA that Shores and her attorney submitted a motion this week to dismiss Prescott’s countersuit against them.
He stated that the motion was filed because they believe Prescott’s filing was intended to silence his alleged sexual assault victim and is in violation of Texas’s Anti-SLAPP Statute, which prohibits various forms of retaliatory lawsuits.
In response, Prescott’s lawyer, Levi McCathern, dismissed the motion as “total nonsense.”
Earlier in March, Prescott had filed a preemptive lawsuit against Shores and both of her attorneys, alleging an extortion scheme amounting to $100 million surrounding the sexual assault accusation. McCathern characterized the claim as “completely fabricated.”
According to a suit filed in Texas’ Collin County, Prescott received a letter from attorneys Bethel and Yoel Zehaie on behalf of Shores in January.
The letter asserted that Prescott had sexually assaulted Shores in the back of an SUV on February 2, 2017, after the two had connected on Snapchat.
“At some point, you, Ms. Shores along with the 2 members of your entourage entered your black SUV style vehicle,” read the letter to Prescott, which was included his lawsuit against Shores.
“On the ride to [redacted] you exposed your genitalia. Ms. Shores did not want to engage in sexual intercourse and made sure to verbalize her wishes. Afterwards, the car came to a stop at your destination. Once this occurred, everyone got out of the car expect you, and you further signaled to one of your entourage members to leave you and Ms. Shores alone.”
“At this point, you used physical force and sexually assaulted Ms. Shores by penetrating her vagina without her consent.”
“The letter informs Prescott that Shores is ‘willing to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered.”
