The Cowboys had a successful year in 2022, but Dak Prescott’s performance was overshadowed by the high number of interceptions he threw.
Prescott faced intense scrutiny after leading the league in interceptions the previous season, despite missing five games. In just 12 games, he threw 15 interceptions, tying for the most in the league.
Prescott is currently working on improving this aspect of his game, but he also took the opportunity to get a significant leg tattoo during the summer.
The tattoo holds a special meaning for him as it pays homage to the Pine Creek Estates mobile home community in Louisiana, where he grew up.
“That’s the trailer park I grew up in, I’m very proud of that, that shaped me to be the man that I am and the player that I am, I thought it was only right to get the tattoo,” Prescott explained.

Prescott explained that he is proud of his humble beginnings and believes that it has shaped him both as a man and as a player. Aside from these personal matters, Prescott was involved in a heated exchange with cornerback Trevon Diggs during practice.
Diggs confronted Prescott when he attempted to escape the pass rush and run for a touchdown. This incident has raised questions about the dynamics within the team, with some suggesting that Prescott’s struggles last season may have frustrated his teammates.
The Cowboys have been under scrutiny following their playoff loss to the 49ers in the 2023 NFC Divisional Round.
This marked the 12th consecutive year that Dallas fell short of the NFC Championship Game. The previous season, they were also eliminated by the 49ers in the wild-card round.
