Curt Schilling didn’t mince words in his latest bit of controversy.
The former MLB pitcher sparked controversy with his recent appearance on FOX News in which he expressed frustration with the developments surrounding former President Donald Trump.
Among other things, Schilling suggested that Republicans need to stop talking and start taking action and accused Democrats of breaking the law to push their agenda.
He then seemingly encouraged violent retaliation, saying that someone would eventually have to “pull a trigger” to defend the Constitution and the nation.
“The young men that signed the Constitution and all the things that they sacrificed everything to come out from under a tyrannical government, and then eventually at some point, there was a man at Concord who decided he was going to pull the trigger. And I feel like we’re getting back to a point where somebody is going to have to pull a trigger because everything we hold dear, everything this country was founded on is being just dragged through the mud and mocked and made fun of.”

This statement has drawn criticism on social media, with some calling for Schilling to be investigated by the FBI or DHS.
Despite host Jesse Watters’ attempt to clarify that Schilling meant this metaphorically, the former pitcher insisted that people would interpret it as they wanted.
