Nikola Jokic’s brother, Strahinja, has a history of assault.
The older brother of Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was involved in an unfortunate incident in the stands during the Nuggets Game 2 playoff victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The elder Jokic brother appears to punch a fan as his other brother, Nemanja, and Nikola Jokic’s wife, Natalija, look on.
Natalija can be seen in the red holding the couple’s young daughter.

The NBA is investigating and so is Denver police as they issued the following statement:
“The Denver Police Department is aware of the video circulating on social media that appears to have happened Monday night at the Denver Nuggets game. The incident was not reported to Denver Police at the arena or after the game was over, and at this time, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident. The Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department”
Following the incident, Strahinja Jokic’s criminal history has re-emerged as he was previously arrested for assault back in 2019 when he was 37 years old.
This from the New York Post back in October of 2019:
The brother of Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was arrested for choking a woman and refusing to let her leave an apartment after she told him about a former flame, authorities said.
Strahinja Jokic, the 37-year-old older brother of the 7-foot Serbian native, was busted Thursday after a woman told police he shoved her during an argument and wouldn’t let her leave a Denver apartment, according to a probable cause statement obtained by the Denver Post.
Jokic, who had been drinking, allegedly grabbed the woman and choked her after she went to the apartment’s balcony to scream for help. Jokic also threatened to choke the woman “until she fell asleep,” police said.
The alleged attack happened after the woman told Jokic about someone she had previously dated, KUSA reported, citing the probable cause statement.
The unidentified woman tried to call cops but Jokic grabbed her phone, prompting her to go into a bedroom, where she was able to send a message to someone who called police, according to the document.
Jokic is now facing charges of second-degree assault, false imprisonment and obstruction of phone service, a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s Office told the Denver Post.
Strahinja Jokic has been a fixture at Nuggets games for quite some time, but his presence at Nuggets games going forward is certainly in question now, especially if the fan decides to press charges.
The Nuggets won this game on Jamal Murray’s dramatic buzzer-beater to give the Nuggets a 2-0 lead in the playoff series.
The series now heads to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.
