Violence, both on and off the field, appears to be a recurring issue at NFL games.
Instances of fans brawling within the stadiums are far from uncommon.
However, on Monday night, two San Antonio residents took this to a disturbing extreme when they engaged in a violent altercation during the Cowboys-Chargers “Monday Night Football” game. The argument revolved around noise levels, and it escalated to the point where both men stabbed each other multiple times, as reported by ksat.com.
San Antonio police have indicated that both men are expected to recover from their injuries, and an ongoing investigation is currently in progress.
These two individuals, both in their 50s, reside near each other, according to San Antonio police. The dispute and subsequent stabbings occurred around 9:40 p.m.
The altercation escalated to the point where both men armed themselves with knives and inflicted multiple stab wounds on each other, as outlined in the report.
Subsequently, the men were transported to separate hospitals, with one being taken to Brooke Army Medical Center and the other to University Hospital, according to the report.
The situation prompted the response of the San Antonio Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS, as per ksat.com.
It remains unclear whether both men were supporters of the Cowboys, but they likely missed the conclusion of Dallas’s 20-17 victory in Inglewood, California.
The Cowboys managed to recover from an initial 7-0 deficit, with their defense standing out in the closing minutes by securing a late interception of Justin Herbert, which pushed their record to 4-2.

This victory followed Dallas’s 42-10 defeat to the 49ers, a loss that prompted doubts about the Cowboys’ status as serious Super Bowl contenders.
Dak Prescott bounced back with a solid performance, and the offense did enough to hand the Chargers a 2-3 record.
In Prescott’s words, “It’s early in the season, but whether it’s 4-2 or 3-3, it makes a significant difference. It really does. Yeah, it’s early in the season. I’ve been in a 3-5 season that we turned around and went on a winning streak and won the division … but 4-2, second road win of the year, against a great team, with a great offense and great defense.”
In conclusion, a plea for calm: people just need to take it easy, plain and simple.
