After enduring a brutal hit in the playoff game against the Detroit Lions, Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams may require some time off.
During Wild Card Weekend, Rams quarterback Matt Stafford showcased his toughness against his former team, the Detroit Lions, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. With the Rams trailing 24-20 late in the third quarter, Stafford, facing a 3rd-and-12 at the Lions’ 13, aimed for a touchdown.
While completing a pass to Cooper Kupp that fell short of the first down, Stafford released the ball just before absorbing a fierce hit from Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, leading to a hard fall on the field.
Despite the heavy boos from his former fans, Stafford exhibited resilience, throwing for 367 yards with 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in his return to Ford Field.

Many observers labeled Stafford’s impact as a definite concussion, despite the fact that when he rose, he was seen clutching his ribs.
However, despite his efforts, the Rams couldn’t stage a comeback in the fourth quarter, resulting in a 24-23 victory for the Lions — their first playoff win in over three decades.
