When it comes to circuses, Conor McGregor certainly knows a thing or two.
Logan Paul and Dillon Danis faced off at the Misfits Boxing event, “The PRIME Card,” this past Saturday, and it’s safe to say that many viewers are branding it as one of the most lackluster matches they’ve witnessed.
Conor McGregor had his say on the matter, expressing his admiration for Dillon Danis, even in his loss to Paul. In a tweet, McGregor stated, “I was impressed by [Dillon Danis].”
He went on to remark, “I’ll tell you what. It was better than Nate Diaz doing anything. That was a show!”
In a post-match interview, Logan Paul seemed unimpressed with Danis’s supposed expertise in jiu-jitsu, asking, “He’s supposed to be good at jiu-jitsu, what happened?” Paul further critiqued the match, calling Danis a “coward” and “a dirty, dirty human being.” He claimed to have forgiven Danis before the fight, emphasizing that it was the only way to approach the bout without the emotional baggage of trying to harm his opponent.
Conor McGregor had a few words in response, saying, “
“Are you not entertained! I was impressed, good shots, [Danis] needs to believe in his shots more and more and let them go, some of them were alright,” said McGregor in a now-deleted voice note
“What did your man do anyway, he didn’t even wobble him, he didn’t even hurt him, you little fool,” continued McGregor. “You were in a dark spot? Guess what mate, you’re back in a dark spot now, back into the locker room…thinking about all the s—t you’ve been going through. You’re still in a dark spot, bro. You’ve done nothing! You’ve done nothing!”
The idea of a Logan Paul versus Conor McGregor showdown seems to be the next spectacle in the world of unconventional fights.
