Josh Harris is quickly gaining fans of the Commanders, but he may need to work on his interpersonal skills.
During the Commanders’ preseason game against the Ravens, Harris joined the “Monday Night Football” booth and had an awkward moment with Joe Buck.
As Buck extended his arm while speaking, Harris seemingly tried to shake his hand, even though Buck wasn’t expecting it. Buck paused awkwardly, and Harris half-heartedly and confusedly shook his hand.
Troy Aikman, the fellow commentator, found the encounter amusing and couldn’t help but crack a smile. Following the strange interaction, Harris uncomfortably placed his hands on his hips.
Despite the awkward moment, Harris is still finding success as an owner of professional sports teams, including the 76ers and New Jersey Devils.

Harris took over as the owner of the team on July 20, purchasing it for a record-breaking $6.05 billion.
Since then, he has made a positive impact on both the Washington fans and players.
This is in stark contrast to the previous owner, Dan Snyder, whose tenure was marred by scandals and sexual harassment, resulting in a $60 million fine.
After the Commanders’ victory in a preseason game against the Browns, head coach Ron Rivera presented Harris with the game ball in the locker room. Harris expressed his pride in being part of the team and thanked everyone for the win.
Rivera explained that although it was just a preseason game, they wanted to recognize Harris and the players were excited to give him another game ball in the future. Aside from this gesture, Harris has been well-received in Washington D.C., making a positive impression as the team’s new owner.
Magic Johnson, who is also part of the ownership group, mentioned that they are open to considering a name change for the team.
Previously known as the Redskins, the Commanders have had limited success in recent years, making the playoffs only once since 2016 and finishing with an 8-8-1 record last season.
