Nikki Glaser recently discussed a notable incident from Netflix’s roast of Tom Brady on “The Howard Stern Show,” where Brady interrupted Jeff Ross for making a joke about Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots.
Glaser confirmed to Howard Stern that Brady’s reaction was genuine. “Robert Kraft was unexpectedly present; I only realized he was there once I arrived, and knowing the close bond he shares with Tom, I wasn’t expecting him due to the nature of the jokes that might arise,” she explained.
During the roast, Ross referenced Kraft’s 2019 legal troubles involving a massage parlor, which prompted Brady to confront Ross, firmly telling him not to repeat such remarks.
Glaser recounted that Ross was concerned about the impact of his joke. “Jeff was a bit worried afterward. We always reflect on whether our jokes might have genuinely hurt someone, even though I don’t think it will escalate to more serious consequences,” she added.

Stern, praising Glaser as a standout performer, inquired whether Netflix had set any boundaries for the roasters. Glaser mentioned that they decided to steer clear of involving Brady’s children in the jokes out of respect.
Glaser also shared some of the jokes that didn’t make it into her set. One included, “Thank you all for being here tonight and taking time away from cheating on your wives,” and another about the proceeds of the event, “It’s really cool tonight all the proceeds are going to CTE research – and the NFL’s coordinated effort to cover it up.”
One particular joke about Brady’s appearance didn’t make the cut either. “Tom, seriously though, I love your work … you’ve done on your face. Slow down, what happened to your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved.”
She noted that these jokes were omitted either due to time constraints or because they didn’t match the intensity of other jokes in the set.
The roast, which featured other celebrities like Kevin Hart, Kim Kardashian, and Ben Affleck, is available for streaming on Netflix.
