Apparently money isn’t everything.
Reports indicate that Clifford Omoruyi, a 6-foot-11 center transferring from Rutgers as a graduate, has opted to join Alabama, as revealed on Sunday.
Notably, it was disclosed by On3’s Joe Tipton that Omoruyi declined a lucrative $2 million Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal before committing to the Crimson Tide.
Before settling on Alabama, Omoruyi explored options at North Carolina, Georgetown, and Kansas State.

Although it remains unclear which of these schools offered the substantial $2 million deal, Omoruyi’s impressive college career statistics speak for themselves.
Throughout his time at Rutgers, he maintained averages of 10.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. As a senior last season, he further demonstrated his prowess with averages of 10.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game for the Scarlet Knights.
