Ciara is shedding light on her relationship with her ex-fiancé, Future.
During an interview with Thembi Mawema from The Shade Room, the 37-year-old singer was asked about her co-parenting dynamic with the 39-year-old rapper. Ciara found herself at a loss for words in response.
“What is co-parenting like for you guys?” Mawema inquired, eliciting a fit of giggles from Ciara that lasted for over 15 seconds.
Both of them dissolved into laughter, with Mawema at one point exclaiming, “I’m dead,” in reaction to Ciara’s response. Ciara, in turn, complimented her interviewer, saying, “You’re awesome.”

The “Goodies” singer shares her 9-year-old son, Future Zahir, with her former fiancé. Ciara and Future’s engagement ended a few months after their son’s birth, amid reports of the rapper’s alleged infidelity.
Since their 2014 breakup, the rapper has made several public comments about Ciara, including claims that she prevents him from seeing their child.
However, a source close to Ciara told PEOPLE at the time that these claims were baseless, and she believed he was using them to “promote his music.”
Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, who is 34 years old, are currently expecting their third child next year.
The couple already has a 6-year-old daughter named Sienna Princess and a 3-year-old son named Win Harrison.
In August, Ciara announced her pregnancy through a video shared on Instagram, with the video capturing her growing baby bump.
Despite being pregnant, a source revealed that the singer isn’t slowing down. “She’s one of those mothers who has energy throughout her whole pregnancy,” the insider noted. “She always calls her life organized chaos — but it’s organized chaos taking it up another notch.”
The source further added, “She loves being a mother, so this is what she loves doing. This is what she has always wanted, and Russ too. They’ve always wanted a lot of kids.”
