Earlier this week, while San Francisco 49ers players and coaches were in the midst of their pre-Super Bowl preparations, an unexpected disruption occurred: the fire alarm blared at 6:00 a.m., startling many from their sleep.
Players such as Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa expressed their frustration at being woken up by the sudden alarm, with McCaffrey chuckling at the seemingly inconvenient timing. “Of course this would happen,” he remarked, suggesting it was far from a random occurrence.
On the other hand, George Kittle decided to inject some humor into the situation by retreating to the bathroom, amusing himself for 20 minutes until the alarm ceased.
Two days later, Christian McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa, offered some intriguing insight into the incident during the latest episode of her podcast, “Your Mom,” co-hosted with Ashley Adamson. Lisa revealed that the alarm had been deliberately pulled at 6:00 a.m., insinuating it was not an accident.

According to Lisa, the alarm persisted for a lengthy 25 minutes, leading her to conclude that it was likely an inside job. She speculated that the culprit could have been an employee from Kansas City, the 49ers’ Super Bowl opponent, hinting at a potential retaliatory act.
However, Lisa quickly clarified that she was merely joking about reciprocating the prank on the Chiefs, emphasizing that she would never actually go through with such a plan. “Kudos to them, that’s smart,” she quipped.
Despite the disruption, ESPN reported that no evacuation was necessary, as hotel engineers determined it was a false alarm.
With this unexpected twist in the pre-Super Bowl saga, it seems the excitement of the game spilled over into the days leading up to the event.
