Millions will be tuning into Taylor Swift’s music in the coming week, but one notable exception will be Lisa McCaffrey, the mother of Christian McCaffrey. Swift is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, whom McCaffrey will face in Super Bowl LVIII.
Despite being a fan of the singer, Lisa has decided to abstain from listening to Taylor Swift songs in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. She expressed her decision on the podcast called ‘Your Mom.’
“I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple of days. I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs,” Lisa declared on the show referring to her and Olivia Culpo’s ban. She humorously added, “If she pops up on the radio station… nope. She’s dead to us this week.”
Swift, whose Eras tour resumes next week in Japan, made headlines last weekend in Baltimore when she joined Kelce on the field following the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win. The high-profile couple has been publicly dating since September, with Swift becoming a regular presence at Chiefs games this season.
On the other hand, McCaffrey and Culpo have been in a relationship since 2019 and got engaged last year. Lisa McCaffrey admitted that Swift’s songs were part of her running playlist, but for the Super Bowl week, the pop star will be excluded from her rotation.
In a birthday surprise, Culpo gifted Lisa a luxury suite at the Super Bowl game, adding to the excitement surrounding the highly anticipated event.
