Apparently money can’t buy you everything.
Even Christian McCaffrey and his fiancée Olivia Culpo find Super Bowl suites financially out of reach, according to Lisa McCaffrey, the 49ers running back’s mother. In the latest episode of the “Your Mom” podcast with Ashley Adamson, Lisa mentioned that neither Christian nor Olivia can afford a private suite at Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl between the 49ers and the Chiefs on Feb. 11.
Despite McCaffrey’s substantial income, the family opted not to splurge on a suite for the big game. Lisa also shared that Taylor Swift’s attendance in a suite is uncertain as she plans to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs.
“We looked into a suite and none of us can afford it,” Lisa said. “Not even Christian, money bags over there — nor money bags Olivia,” who is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and actress.
“So, we’re not in a suite, I’ll tell you that right now,” Lisa said.

Christian McCaffrey, set to make $11.8 million in 2024 and $12 million in 2025, has the opportunity to make history alongside his father Ed McCaffrey.
If the 49ers win, they would become only the second father-son duo in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with the same franchise. Lisa mentioned that they watched McCaffrey’s games in suites during the regular season and playoffs, and even had MC Hammer in their suite during the NFC Championship game.
Fans reacted to the unfortunate news:
After the 49ers’ victory against the Lions, Lisa described the emotional moment she shared with her son, expressing her pride and joy.
Lisa also revealed a Swift-related Super Bowl ritual, sharing that she and her son Max, a Miami Dolphins offensive assistant, are boycotting Taylor Swift songs until after the Super Bowl due to her relationship with Travis Kelce.
The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.
