On Monday night, Chris Olave, the wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, found himself in legal trouble, as he was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, as reported.
Saints reporter Nick Underhill was the first to break the news of Olave’s arrest. According to Underhill, the Saints’ receiver was caught exceeding the speed limit by a substantial margin, resulting in the reckless driving charge. It was reported that Olave was traveling at 70 mph in a 35-mph zone.
Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle tonight. He was traveling 35 mph over the posted speed limit. He did not resist and was cooperative with law enforcement.

Following his arrest, Olave was processed at the Kenner Jail, located just west of Louisiana. His brother took to social media to give the arrest some context:

Olave’s Saints had a game on Thursday night during Week 7, but unfortunately, they suffered a 31-24 loss at home against the Jaguars. In that game, Olave managed to make 7 catches for 57 yards. So far this season, the second-year Saints receiver has accumulated 39 catches for 471 yards and has scored 1 touchdown.
It’s worth noting that Chris Olave was a first-round pick from Ohio State last year, and in his rookie season, he made an impressive 72 catches for 1,042 yards and scored 4 touchdowns.
