During a recent appearance on Outkick’s The Five Spot, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expressed his approval of star tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with the acclaimed singer, Taylor Swift.
“I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad,” Reid explained before jokingly taking credit for orchestrating the romance between Swift and Kelce. “I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying!” Reid said, laughing with the show’s host.

While Taylor Swift hails from the vicinity of Reading, Pennsylvania, and has openly declared herself as a Philadelphia Eagles fan through her song “Gold Rush,” her allegiances appear to have recently shifted toward the Chiefs due to her relationship with Travis Kelce. Andy Reid expressed his contentment with Swift’s enthusiasm for the Chiefs, stating, “She’s a good girl, she’s into it, we’re glad she’s here.”

Chiefs president Mark Donovan also discussed the situation, speaking with PEOPLE at MetLife Stadium before the Chiefs faced off against the New York Jets. Donovan expressed confidence that Kelce is well-prepared to handle Swift’s high-profile status while maintaining his focus as the Chiefs strive for another Super Bowl victory in the 2023 NFL season.
