However, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Chicago Cubs are emerging as the “most aggressive team” in the pursuit of Ohtani.
The Dodgers remain the heavy favorites. The Chicago Cubs and Rangers are serious contenders, with several GMs saying that the Cubs may be the most aggressive team for his services. And it would be foolish to count out the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets or even San Francisco Giants.

Earlier this week, they made a bold move by parting ways with manager David Ross to bring in Craig Counsell, investing significant funds in the managerial transition. Additionally, reports have linked the Cubs to potential trades involving some of the biggest names in the market.
