Jonathan Owens is making the most of his time away from training camp this week.
The Chicago Bears excused the newly signed safety from practice so he could support his wife, Simone Biles, as she competes in the Summer Olympics. Owens was present at Bercy Arena to witness the iconic gymnast lead Team USA to gold in the all-around competition.
Before Biles resumed her quest for more medals, Owens took advantage of some downtime to explore the wonders of Paris.
On Thursday morning, Owens shared photos from his sightseeing adventures in France’s capital. He visited the Eiffel Tower and marveled at famous artworks like the Mona Lisa and The Wedding Feast at Cana at the Louvre Museum. Reflecting on his journey, Owens captioned his Instagram post, “A long way from St. Louis. Who would’ve thought?”

Owens arrived in Paris earlier this week just in time to witness Biles make history by securing her eighth gold medal, setting a U.S. gymnastics record.
The 27-year-old gymnast guided the team, which included Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Jade Carey, to a convincing victory. This triumph comes three years after a bout of the “twisties” disrupted her plans in Tokyo.
To celebrate, Owens posted photos from a party following the team’s victory, where he proudly wore Biles’s newly earned Olympic medal as they shared a kiss. “Witnessing history every time you step on the mat,” Owens wrote. “Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it.”
Owens plans to return to Bercy Arena to watch Biles compete in the individual all-around on Thursday. His unwavering support and the couple’s shared moments of joy highlight the balance between their professional commitments and personal lives, making this Olympic experience even more memorable for both.
