The Charlotte Hornets are considering ESPN analyst JJ Redick for their head coaching position.
According to Shams Charania, the Hornets are currently interviewing Redick for the role.
Redick has expressed interest in transitioning into coaching, following a notable playing career and a stint in sports broadcasting.

Last year, Redick was a contender for the Toronto Raptors’ coaching job, though he was not selected. He was also in the running for the Philadelphia 76ers’ position, which ultimately went to the seasoned coach Nick Nurse.
Since retiring from the NBA in 2021, Redick has been active in the media. He is a prominent NBA analyst for ESPN, often providing commentary during broadcasts, and hosts a podcast. He has even teamed up with LeBron James on a podcast project.
Redick, who played in the NBA for 15 seasons and has an average of 12.8 points per game, recently shared intricate details about UConn’s offense with Dan Hurley on his podcast, showcasing his deep understanding and passion for basketball strategy.
