Aaron Rodgers has once again found himself in the spotlight, but this time for all the wrong reasons.
Earlier this week, CNN reported that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers allegedly believed the 2012 deadly shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School was an inside job, which was part of a series of “deranged conspiracy theories” linked to Rodgers throughout his NFL career. The CNN report quickly went viral, drawing the attention of new CNN pundit Charles Barkley, who openly criticized Rodgers on his show.
“I think that other fool, Alex something lost some money… first of all, that is just, that is crazy,” Barkley expressed. “And anybody who thinks that, you hope nobody ever thinks that. It’s just painful for the parents. But anybody who thinks that, I would think they would be insane, I’m not gonna lie. You have to be insane to think that.”

Barkley’s remarks referenced Alex Jones, who was recently ordered to pay $1.5 billion to the families of Sandy Hook victims due to spreading false claims about the tragedy.
Following the widespread circulation of these alleged comments across various news networks, Rodgers responded to the report, vehemently asserting his belief in the tragic nature of the Sandy Hook incident.
“As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place,” Rodgers clarified on social media. “Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community.”
Rodgers’ name continues to grab headlines, further fueling public interest and discussion.
