Charles Barkley, known for his outspoken nature, frequently stirs up controversy with his words, as talking is a significant part of his profession.
During a televised interview with Nikki Haley and Gayle King, former NBA star Charles Barkley publicly endorsed Haley, throwing his “whole heart” behind her.
However, Barkley’s endorsement sparked controversy as the clip quickly went viral.

Critics pointed out the flaws in Haley’s previous statement that America was “never a racist country,” highlighting historical injustices such as slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the displacement of Native Americans.
Born Nimarata Randhawa, Haley’s political career gained attention during her second term as Governor of South Carolina. While she took progressive stances on certain issues, like refusing to support a “bathroom bill” and removing the Confederate flag from the statehouse, she’s largely seen as a party loyalist.
After serving as UN ambassador under Donald Trump for two years, Haley announced her 2024 Presidential bid in February 2023, becoming the first challenger to Trump. However, she faced challenges from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and struggled in the polls. Despite finishing second to the “None of these candidates” option in the recent Nevada Caucus, experts anticipate Haley dropping out if she loses her home state.
